Carthage held the sixth annual Celebration of Scholars event on Friday, April 29, 2016. Celebration of Scholars is a poster exhibition that features original research, scholarship, and creative work completed by Carthage students.

Recognitions continued to roll in this week for two Lady Reds track and field throwers, as Mia Bennett and Morgan Young were recognized as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as All-Midwest Region honorees for the 2015-16 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season.

CCIW Indoor Track and Field Champions
The Carthage College men's and women's track and field teams competed in the CCIW Indoor Championships at North Central College in Naperville, Ill at the Al B. Carius Track. Both teams finished third overall, but there were four individual champions.

Member of Arts and Creativity Leadership Team
The Arts and Creativity Leadership Team (ACLT) is made up of exceptional arts students with an interest in community engagement, artistic excellence, and arts advocacy. The leaders were nominated by peers and faculty members, and serve as advisors for the annual Arts and Creativity Festival. Members of the ACLT also take on project management for events such as the Family Arts Carnival and the Arts Everywhere Initiative.

Yearly, Carthage College invites the community to celebrate the joy of the holiday season at the annual Carthage Christmas Festival, three performances of readings and music in the A. F. Siebert Chapel. These annual concerts are the College's Christmas gift to the community. Tickets to the Christmas Festival have been free since the festival began more than 20 years ago.

Participated in Carthage Theatre's "Afghanistan/Wisconsin Verbatim Theatre Project"
The "Afghanistan/Wisconsin Verbatim Theatre Project" is a play about the experiences of Wisconsin veterans of the Afghanistan conflict, based on personal interviews with local veterans collected over the summer of 2015. With the mission of fostering better understanding between vets and non-vets, the play took audiences inside the reality of training, deployment, and re-entry into the civilian world.
